MAINTENANCE WORKER III-Application deadline: Until filled-Public Works/Flood Control-Duties: Serves as lead worker, acting as supervisor in the Flood Control Foreman’s absence; performs skilled & semi-skilled work in the operation, repair & maintenance of the levee system, ancillary flood control structures, & facilities. Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. Experience: Three years or more operation of light to medium trucks & equipment in construction work, maintenance, or related activities. Requirements: Residency; Kansas Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes & tanker endorsements at hire. Pay: $21.96-23.06/hr.
WATER PLANT OPERATOR I-Application deadline: Until filled-Utilities-Duties: Works on shift; performs skilled work in operation of advanced water treatment plant & equipment. Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. Experience: Two years’ mechanical & electrical equipment maintenance. Requirements: Residency; Kansas driver’s license. Starting pay: $20.92-21.97/hr.
ADMINISTRATIVE/ LEGAL ASSISTANT-Application deadline: Until filled-Municipal Court-Duties: Legal clerical work & administrative duties. Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.; Associate’s degree preferred. Experience: Two – four years’ clerical work; strong computer skills; court or legal work. Starting pay: Legal Assistant II- $18.97-19.92/hr.; Legal Assistant I- $18.08-18.98/hr.; Administrative Assistant II- $17.21-18.07//hr.
RIVER FESTIVAL WORKERS-Application deadline: Until filled-Arts & Humanities/River Festival- Duties: Assists staff with installation of stages, signage, button booths, & all aspects of set-up, equipment handling, & service to entertainers. Education: Eighth grade graduate minimum. Requirements: Must be sixteen years of age or older; valid driver's license; ability to lift 75 lbs. Hours: 40-60 hours from June 12 - 16, 2024. Gofer I- Pay: $8.00/hr.; Stage Crew Member-Pay: $300-400 stipend (approx. $7.50/hr.)
