Full Service Technician - Subs (Novice)
Description
This position is responsible for setting up, and tanking substations; completing other duties as assigned.
Construct framework for substations.
Cleaning rebuilding and re-gasketing sub units.
Assist in tanking and stacking of sub units.
Must be able to read and understand work orders.
Minor testing (TTR,MEG)
Clean and prep the inside of the sub tanks for core and coil.
Replace gauges, check gaskets, prep lid, and mount in a CTs.
Complete production output level for the day/week.
Elevate more complex issues such as larger voltages, unusual nameplates, and more complex testing issues.
Support monthly operational goals.
Requirements:
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Technical experience or specific transformer work history is preferred.
Must be willing to work in confined spaces or in heights.
Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.
Help team members resolve questions and help with the workload.
A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.
Professional language and conduct at all times.
Ability to learn other areas sufficient to fill in where required.
Summary:
Woodworking skills, preferred.
Measuring skills and Hand tool skills, required.
Ability to execute deadlines, required.
HS Diploma/GED, required.
Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.
Help team members resolve questions, assist with the workload.
A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.
Professional language and conduct at all times.
Ability to learn other areas sufficient to fill in where required.
