Director, Inpatient Medical -
• POSITION SUMMARY
Provides leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of the Inpatient Medical and Flex Pool patient care departments. Responsible for administrative functions, including strategic and operational planning, including staffing and directing personnel. Provides mechanism for ensuring quality care, issue resolution, orientation, and ongoing competency of personnel. Responsible for planning and maintaining materials, equipment and supplies necessary for employees to perform their job, and to provide competitive, cost effective service to patients and physicians. Represents the health center in all activities related to areas of responsibility. Plans and markets programs and services to medical staff, health center and community. Maintains active communication among medical staff, health center leadership, and staff.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
o Minimum Education
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or healthcare related field preferred
o Minimum Experience
• Three years clinical nursing experience
• Two years management experience preferred
o Required Registration/License/Certification
• Current Kansas registered nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment
