Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

Job Purpose: Implements, and coordinates quality, safety, and production improvements with existing equipment and parts.

Essential Functions
1.Carries out responsibilities by inspecting work and assists with addressing complaints and or resolving issues.
2.Oversee router creation to ensure optimum production efficiencies.
3.Design production fixtures and tooling.
4.Develop, design, and publish procedural standards, operation/work instructions, and manuals.
5.Collaborates with the Current Product Engineering team with current product modifications and tooling.
6.Collaborate with New Product Engineering team to ensure manufacturability of new designs.
7.Creates and evaluates prints and drawings to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
8.Establishes weld and wiring standards.
9.Maintains proper documentation, including BOM, optimized for production.
10.Oversee and manage projects or delegated tasks from the Production Manager.
11.Contributes to team effort by actively participating in team meetings.
12.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

1.A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering or a General Engineering Degree. A minimum of three to five years Manufacturing Engineering, or other related experience generally required.
2.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
3.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
4.Ability to read and interpret documents such as job orders, procedure manuals, and schematics.
5.Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
6.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
7.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
8.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
9.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
10.Ability to be visionary and see the entire process.
11.Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products, SolidWorks, CAD, and MRP.
12.Ability to use department equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, power tools, ladder/scaffold, overhead crane, telephone, computer, fax machine, and copy machine.
13.Ability to maintain confidentiality.

1.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee constantly must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

2.The work environment is usually an indoor setting with frequent exposure to outside elements. The noise level in the work environment is frequently high. In addition, other elements that an employee could be exposed to frequently in this work environment are but not limited to; dust, dirt, fumes and odors, mechanical and electrical hazards, fire hazards, and an elevated workplace. This position requires infrequent travel, which may involve exposure to extreme weather elements.
