Description
Driving semi-trucks & hauling transformers.
Loading & unloading transformers (writing up load sheets when loading).
Ensure the trailer isn't overweight.
Making sure they are strapping/securing the load down properly & safely.
Calling customers to set up delivery arrangements.
Driving Safely.
Good communication skills between customer & dispatcher.
Relaying info to the dispatcher when loading/unloading at the customer site.
Be able to arrive at appointments safely & on time.
Able to problem solve on the road.
Turning in paperwork correctly and on time.
Requirements:
Class A CDL, 3-5 years OTR flatbed experience.
Able to maintain HAZMAT endorsement (if they don't have it, will need to obtain one within 90 - 120 days of employment - SS will pay for it).
Able to maintain & operate company vehicles.
Acceptable MVR record.
Operate smartphone & communicate via text, email & phone.
HS/GED required.
