Description
This OTR position (paid by the mile) is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of transformers and related equipment.
Tying/securing units on trailer
Loading trailer and making sure trailer isn't overweight
Driving safely
Calling customers to schedule deliveries and pick-ups
Being able to write up paperwork properly when loading at a customer and able to turn in paperwork in a timely manner
Good communication skills between customer and dispatcher
Relaying information to the dispatcher when loading/unloading at the customer site
Be able to arrive to appointments safely and on-time
Able to problem solve on the road
Requirements
Class A CDL, required.
3-5 years over-the-road flat bed experience, required.
Able to maintain a Hazmat endorsement (if they don't have it, they will need to get one within 120 days of employment; paid by employer), required.
Able to maintain and operate company vehicle
Must have and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR)
Able to operate smart phone and be able to communicate via text message, email, and phone conversation.
HS/GED diploma, required
