Shelter Guest Minister
The Salina Rescue Mission is looking for both part-time and full-time shelter guest ministers to care for homeless men and others in the community who need assistance. This position is an excellent opportunity to let your light shine as you share God's love with others. You will have the opportunity to develop and foster trusting relationships as you work to provide an environment where our guests feel safe and cared for. While ministry is our desire, we also recognize there are professional responsibilities that come with providing shelter with a focus on recovery.
A good fit for this position is a Christian man who is detail-oriented, a good communicator, and who has a good working knowledge of computers and is drug, alcohol, and tobacco free. Training will be provided for all functions of this position.
Hourly wages are competitive, with the opportunity for a wage increase from personal and professional experience as well as additional pay for our overnight shift.
Benefits for part-time employees: Vacation time, personal time off, and IRA contributions after five years of service.
Benefits for full-time: Health Insurance, vacation time, accrued personal time off, Life and Disability Insurance, and IRA contributions following five years of service.
