Job Description:
Are you looking to take your career to the next level? If so, Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is currently seeking qualified Construction Inspectors for our Salina, KS office. This person will be responsible for the inspection of specific operations on construction job sites for transportation projects.
Starting wage $18.00 / Negotiable based on experience.
This is a remote work opportunity. This position is based out of the Salina office. This position requires travel to the jobsite.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends various meetings as needed related to construction projects.
Familiar with Plans, Specifications and Special Provisions for road and other transportation construction in Kansas and their application.
Completes concrete and soil field testing as well as other on-site testing when needed.
Must be a good communicator.
Must be willing to travel and stay out of town Monday through Friday, lodging and per diem paid by employer.
Required Skills:
Must be able to lift and handle 50+ pounds.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record.
Basic math skills.
Willing to Attend/Pass Certified Inspection Training (CIT)
Effectively communicate both written and orally and coordinate with the owner and contractor.
Disciplined individual who maintains accurate, timely and descriptive records of daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress.
