Job Description:
The Ottawa County Highway Department is accepting applications for
General Laborers. Applicants must be physically able to operate various types of equipment used in the normal operation of the County Highway Dept., and must be physically able to perform any other duties associated with the normal operation of the department. Applicants must be the holder of a Commercial Driver’s License or able to obtain one.
This is a 40-hour week position, summer hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday; Winter hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
We provide a full benefits package that includes 100% paid employee/child Health and Dental insurance. Ottawa County participates in a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, and random drug testing, we also require a performance evaluation test.
Applications may be picked up at the County Highway Depts. Office in the Ottawa County Courthouse, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 307 N Concord, Minneapolis Ks. 67467
