Lube and Tire Technician
We are looking to hire a highly-skilled Lube and Tire Technician to join the Canton Service Center family. You will be responsible for servicing customers' vehicles and also taking care of their tire needs. The Lube Technician's responsibilities include preparing detailed vehicle service reports, replacing vehicle wiper blades and car batteries, and changing motor oil as well as transmission and brake fluid as needed. The responsibilities as a tire technician, you will be required to inspect and assess damaged or worn tires on customer vehicles, replace or repair damaged tires, and balance or rotate tires in compliance with industry standards. Having knowledge on repairing or replacing ag tires would be a plus.
Lube and Tire Technician Responsibilities:
Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
Thoroughly inspecting customers' vehicles for oil leaks.
Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves and TPMS sensors
Installing new tires
Lube and Tire Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is advantageous.
Proven experience in automotive maintenance and tire repair.
Valid driver's license.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Detail-oriented.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Pay is hourly and starting rate will be based on previous work experience. Work schedule will be Monday thru Friday 7:30 to 5pm and alternating Saturdays from 8am to noon starting in April.
