Job Description:
Twin Oaks Industries is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our quality control team. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as manage other quality control programs and standards.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Regularly inspecting in process product using industry-appropriate methods and tools, comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, examining functionality, and assessing aesthetics to ensure customer requirements are met.
Responsible to reject products that fail to meet quality standards.
Report quality control problems or findings to QA manager and follow up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.
Reviewing blueprints and specifications and comparing to produced goods.
Recording inspection results by completing reports.
Proposing improvements to the production process.
Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs or replacements when applicable.
Manage returns, determine part dispositions, and take appropriate actions.
Follow company standards for inspections processes.
Occasional site visits to vendors and customers.
Work efficiently and safely in a manufacturing environment.
All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Quality control inspectors use a variety of skills and industry knowledge to ensure products are up to standards, including but not limited to the following:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Keen attention to detail.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, computers, and other basic measuring tools.
Proficient reading blueprints.
Willingness to work in a team setting.
Visual acuity must be able to read small to large print with or without corrective lenses.
Previous on the job training or background in quality control preferred but not required.
Metal fabrication experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
