This is a full-time position within our manufacturing facility with opportunities for advancement!
Shift: 3rd shift
Starting wage: $14.00/hour plus $1.50 shift dif.
Hours: 12am - 6am
â€¢ Hours may change based on production schedule
â€¢ Some overtime and weekend work may be required
â€¢ Under direct supervision this position is responsible for safely cleaning and sanitizing a plant's facilities and production lines.
â€¢ Work closely with sanitation team to perform various cleaning duties, ensuring that standard processing equipment and infrastructure comply with government and Company rules and regulations.
â€¢ Follows sanitation schedules to conduct coarse cleaning of the facility and production line including but not limited to sweeping, shoveling, lifting, scraping and brushing to remove large particles and material.
â€¢ Disassembles and reassembles equipment as directed by experts.
â€¢ Washes and sanitizes equipment tools and facility, including scrubbing and brushing, to ensure all soil and contaminants are removed.
â€¢ Operates COP tanks to clean tools pipes and other disassembled equipment.
â€¢ Executes the proper protection and prevention of damage of equipment through overspray and water/chemical use (i.e. proper equipment wrapping no direct spraying/washing of sensitive equipment etc.).
â€¢ Properly uses chemicals at stated concentrations and for appropriate applications as directed by sanitation experts to assure effective cleaning, while minimizing risk of personal injury and/or damage to equipment tools or facility.
â€¢ Verifies and records that proper procedures are completed; proper chemicals and concentrations are used; cleaning and sanitizing are completed to deliver clean equipment / infrastructure, passing all micro indicator tests.
â€¢ Performs duties to control insects within the plant per direction of sanitation experts.
â€¢ Assists production when necessary.
â€¢ Performs all duties in compliance with existing USDA Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), state, federal and Company regulations, policies and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations) including using all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
â€¢ Attends safety meetings as required.
â€¢ Responsible to conduct self, and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves, in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.
â€¢ High school degree or equivalent
â€¢ 0-1 year of related experience Ability to understand and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and to understand product labeling. This includes strong writing skills to record execution of sanitation duties and manage paperwork; strong reading skills to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; strong verbal skills.
â€¢ Possesses basic math skills including the ability to add subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions)
â€¢ Demonstrable ability to understand and safely execute physical cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
â€¢ Ability to operate steam and high pressure hoses.
â€¢ Demonstrable ability to understand and take directions.
â€¢ Demonstrable ability and willingness to work under various environmental conditions (cold hot wet dry and noisy).
â€¢ Ability to understand the proper protection and prevention of damage of equipment through overspray and water/chemical use (i.e. proper equipment wrapping no direct spraying/washing of sensitive equipment etc.).
â€¢ Ability to work as a team and interact professionally with co-workers.
â€¢ Available to work a non-traditional work schedule as required, including weekends.
