Job Description:

Tig Welder
Day shift (6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Mig Welder Essential Duties
Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) including check off sheets, Job Safety Analysis sheets (JSA's), End User Procedural manuals (EUP's) determined by the Quality Management Systems standards of ISO 9001 and ensure employee adherence.
Tacks and inspects assemblies before final welding.
Welds materials such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Operates welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials.
Reads and interprets prints to determine the specific welding requirements
Plans work by interpreting prints.
Sets up welding equipment based on the job at hand.
Safely uses air sanders to prepare for or clean up welds.
Ensures welds meet customer standards and specifications.
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Prepare product for shipment.

Robot Welder Essential Duties:
Controls machines or robots that perform automated welding tasks if applicable.
Loads parts correctly and monitors machine constantly.

TIG Welder Essential Duties:
Operates a foot controlled TIG torch to weld metals.

Uses heat from an air arc and/or plasma torch to cut and trim metal objects.
Uses turn table when welding round objects.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities

Training Required
Completes company LEAN training and participates in Kaizen events as needed.
Understands Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and how it applies to this position as determined by ISO 9001 and to facilitate continuous improvement.
Completes Forklift Training
Completes Crane Training
Completes Aerial Lift Training
Completes Robot Welder Training if applicable.

Education & Experience
High School diploma/GED preferred.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications
Ability to interpret a variety of instruction, either written or verbal, diagram or schedule.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a one-on-one and/or group setting.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentages, and dimensions.
Ability to work with fractions and decimals, converting them back and forth.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment.
Organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize time and various projects.
Ability to work with confidential data.
