Job Description:

Laser Operator
Monday - Thursday, overtime as required.
Day Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
Night Shift: 8:00 pm - 6:30 am

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) including check off sheets, Job Safety Analysis sheets (JSA's), End User Procedural manuals (EUP's) determined by the Quality Management Systems standards of ISO 9001 and ensure employee adherence.
Lays out reference points and dimensions on sheets, plates, tubes, and structural shapes for fabricating, welding, and assembling into structural metal products.
Plans and develops layout as outlined on prints and templates.
Details location and sequence of cutting, drilling, deburring, notch, countersink, tap, plasma cut, bending, rolling, punching, and welding operations.
Marks curves, lines, holes, and dimensions.
Designs and makes templates of wood, paper, or metal.
Operates drill presses, belt sanders, hole punches and a variety of hand tools.
Fits and aligns fabricated parts for welding or assembly operations.
Operates a forklift to move finished parts to next operation.
Responsible for insuring the quality of goods and services to both internal and external customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities

Training Required
Completes company LEAN training and participates in Kaizen events as needed.
Understands Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and how it applies to this position as determined by ISO 9001 and to facilitate continuous improvement.
Completes Forklift Training
Completes Crane Training

Education & Experience
High School diploma/GED preferred.

Additional Qualifications
Must be flexible, reliable, and trainable.
Ability to make fast, accurate decisions relating to the production process and equipment.
Ability to interpret a variety of instruction, either written or verbal, diagram or schedule.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a one-on-one and/or group setting.
Ability to count accurately, and calculate simple amounts.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize time and various projects.
Ability to work with confidential data including all Kasa and customer prints.
Attention to detail a must.
