Machine Operator

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and a sense of urgency to accomplish the Company goals and implement significant change within the organization

Operate and adjust CNC machining and turning equipment, performing standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups are made by others.
Operations include drilling, boring and milling, turning etc. employing recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close but not difficult to maintain.
Follow detailed instructions, work from standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position work piece.
Operate control console to orient spindle and check work position at specified reference points.
Adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements.
Working from certified part drawings, utilize required precision measuring instruments to check machine positioning, inspect finished parts, and record results on SPC charts.
Recognize and report any program and/or machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc.
May assist with setups or proving of programs.
Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection.
Requires a general knowledge of tooling applications and machine shop practices, as well as basic training on CNC machining and turning equipment.*Physical Requirements:*
Ability to communicate verbally with others.
Ability to write clear communications and instructions for others.
Ability to utilize basic office equipment.
Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
Ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to use a tape measure.
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

High school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing work experience.
Prior experience with following production schedules (or scheduling rules) for operations.
Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with supervisors on completion of tasks.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred previous experience working in a high performance team setting.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, team player.
Ability to Work Power Equipment. (Crane, Forklift, etc)
Basic math skills.
Lot / serial control experience.
Experience with LEAN practices / methodologies.

Work Environment: This is a manufacturing plant environment. Exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights and confined spaces.

Compensation: Hourly rate pay ranges from $10.90 - $18.15. Full benefits package. Profit sharing paid tri-annually. Additional details to be provided to qualified candidates.
