Job Description:
USD 307 - Ell Saline is currently hiring a full-time custodian.
JOB GOAL: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participates in general cleaning and maintenance of the school building(s).
2. Cleans and does maintenance of plant equipment.
3. Maintains school grounds and associated equipment.
4. Assumes responsibility for the general security of the building(s).
5. Participates in necessary painting and general repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical.
6. Responsible to see that all equipment, buildings and grounds meet safety standards.
7. Regulates heat, ventilation and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water and electricity.
8. Keeps information confidential concerning school records and school operations as it pertains to pupils, parents, and school personnel.
