Job Description:
Essential Duties
o Effectively performs preventive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability.
o Experience with troubleshooting and repairs processing, packaging, and facility related equipment.
o Collaborates with production personnel to identify root causes of mechanical downtime.
o Interprets mechanical blueprints / equipment manuals & electrical schematic drawings.
o Performs metal fabrication tasks as necessary to complete repairs including cutting, welding and finishing.
o Performs plumbing, pneumatic, and millwright activities as required.
o Displays an understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drives, and the ability to safely troubleshoot circuits of varying voltage (110/120, 220, 480).
o Evaluates equipment condition and reacts appropriately with follow-up activities.
o Identifies opportunities for improvement in plant processes, execute action plans to improve reliability,
o Participates in CI activities, AM / PM /FI team meetings and lead meetings as necessary.
o Effectively lead internal EHS safety programs as assigned,
o Assist in capital project initiatives, selection of new equipment, Factory Acceptance Testing, ensure new equipment meets human and food safety requirements,
o Trains operators and others in proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Knowledge & Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food manufacturing experience is preferred
• Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred.
• Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD drive experience preferred
• Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.
