HR Training Specialist

Job Description:

G.L. Huyett, a Manufacturer and Master Distributor in Minneapolis, KS, is currently looking for an HR Training Specialist to join our growing team. The HR Training Specialist will help support Corporate Training initiatives that will enhance the skills and competencies of our employees. The HR Training Specialist will work with management thorough out the organization to build training curriculum that will support Company and department goals. This individual will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple training projects at one time.

The HR Trainer will report to the Vice President Operations & Administration.

Conducts New Hire Orientation training and other HR related training on a regular basis.
Produces a Corporate Training calendar that will ensure regular compliance, safety, and corporate training occurs annually.
Proposes training and development programs and objectives.
Develops, modifies and manages curriculum in the Learning Management System.
Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
Works with managers to determine training needs and develops new programs based on needs assessment.
Develops and maintains organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
Modifies training programs as needed.
Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
Communicate HRs process for resolving work-related conflicts and following procedures for completing disciplinary actions.
Conducting coaching sessions with supervision and employees, support the performance evaluation process, compensation and merit review process, and people development processes.
Managing employee training records and conducting new employee orientation sessions. Assist Human Resources team with training delivery and training needs assessment.
Review, edit, and approve time cards for Payroll. May also include payroll reconciliation.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Outgoing, friendly, and professional with an organized approach.
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data.
Previous training experience preferred.
2-5 years of experience in HR preferred or related work experience.
Previous project management experience preferred.
Previous experience in designing and implementing training programs.
Ability to plan, multitask, and manage time effectively.
Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.

Work Environment:
Office setting with friendly, team oriented staff.

Candidates should anticipate a very fast-paced productive environment.

Salary range of $35,000 - $58,000. Full benefits package. Profit sharing paid quarterly. Additional details to be provided to qualified candidates.
