Job Description:

We are looking for a Human Resources professional who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, solid organizational skills, as well as a positive attitude. The winning candidate will support the HR team with initiatives involving: people development, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational performance. G.L. Huyett has an opportunity for a talented Human Resources professional who wants to play a key role in identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements.

The person selected to fill this role will report to the Department Controller. The successful candidate will serve in a specialized role dedicated to records management, policy administration and project management. The HR Coordinator role will support the HR team with performance management, coaching managers regarding company policies, employee relations, and ensuring fair and consistent delivery of HR services and initiatives. Additionally, the winning candidate will demonstrate prior successes in:
Working effectively and diplomatically with various levels of an organization from hourly technicians to front-line management.
Providing counsel on employee relations, compensation, EEO compliance, policies and procedures, disability programs (STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA), Federal and State employment laws, and personnel actions.
Serving as an expert on federal, state and local legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Responsibilities:

1.Staffing and Recruiting: including successful attraction of key talent by managing open positions through the full recruitment life cycle for exempt, non-exempt and hourly level positions. Managing applicant tracking and reporting employment statistics, headcount and turnover, exit interview process, attendance tracking, coordinating / reporting employee status transactions, invoice processing, maintain current job descriptions. Maintain, deliver and continuously improve an effective onboarding program for new hires.
2.Employee Relations: support HRs process and following appropriate course of action with regard to employee performance or attendance issues. Communicate HRs process for resolving work-related conflicts and following procedures for completing disciplinary actions.
3.Performance Management: including conducting coaching sessions with supervision and employees, support the performance evaluation process, compensation and merit review process, and people development processes.
4.Policy Management: including administering / interpreting company policies and representing the organization in personnel and employment law compliance related investigations and hearings.
5.HR / Organization Consulting: including change management facilitation and organizational consulting with all levels of employees.
6.College Relations: including coordination with area college relations programs, including student co-op terms, internships, and new hires.
7.Employee Programs: including administering the annual Benefits Open Enrollment Process, employee opinion surveys, and serving as the key contact for benefits information and counsel and direct benefit problem resolution for employees.
8.Employee Training & Development: managing employee training records and conducting new employee orientation sessions. Assist Human Resources team with training delivery and training needs assessment.
9.Systems Management: including report generation; deliver / analyze HR metrics, and implement process improvements.
10.Liaison for workers' compensation with third party administrator, review claims, and supports HR process for addressing WC-related issues.

Requirements:

1.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
2.Outgoing, friendly, and professional with an organized approach.
3.Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data.
4.Advanced MS Office and Outlook skills.
5.2-5 years of experience in HR with at least 1 year spent in recruiting full-time desirable.
6.2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, production environment desirable.
7.Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources desirable.
8.Strong knowledge of regulatory environments and requirements desirable.
9.Strong knowledge of Kansas Labor Laws desirable.

Compensation:
Salary range of $14.00 - $23.00 /hr. Full benefits package. Profit sharing paid tri-annually. Additional details to be provided to qualified candidates.
