Ellsworth County Medical Center is looking for a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) to join our team. SALARY: Starting at $14/hr

SHIFT: 7am - 7pm

Duties & Responsibilities:
Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respirations, pulse, intake and output
Performs basic nursing procedures including collection of lab specimens
Provides personal care and assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, bedpans, transportation, and skin care and positioning
Provides assistance with patients ADLs, including ambulation, showers, position changes, meals, snacks, etc
Maintains a clean and orderly patient environment
Completes documentation as directed by departmental policy
Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients comfort and privacy needs
Assists in admission, transfer and dismissal procedures of the patient
Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required
Functions as a hospital representative/liaison with patients, families, visitors

Experience & Skills Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completed Certified Nurse Assistant program
Minimum one-year experience in acute care setting preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong independent judgment and decision making skills
Must have basic computer and Microsoft Office program skills, electronic medical record experience, and the ability to operate required nursing equipment
