Technical Services Representative Contractor Team

Job Description:

Job Purpose: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer equipment as necessary in a shop or field environment. Provide technical support to customers account managers and distributors. Goes on site to provide technical presentations and instructions.

Essential Functions
1.Instruct customers, employees, etc. on Bergkamp equipment and machines, as well as, machine maintenance and repair.
2.Responsible for scheduling and performing equipment start-ups and provide training to crews and fleet services.
3.Perform service and maintenance and repair problematic issues with machines in a shop or field environment.
4.Assist engineers and product managers with design issues, provide feedback from field.
5.Assist sales team and product managers with customer questions.
6.Provide customer service and relations with focus on operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
7.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials and equipment at end of day.
8.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
9.Contributes to team effort by actively participating in team meetings.

Additional Responsibilities
1.Test machines for issues that could arise.
2.Attend industry trade shows and exhibits.
3.Take photos of Bergkamp equipment in the field, idle, and as needed.
4.Complete final inspection of equipment once production is complete.
5.Process parts orders as needed.
6.Collaborate with the program administer and engineering on Bergkamp online parts catalog ordering system.

1.High school diploma or equivalent, plus three to five years automotive mechanical, welding, electrical or other related experience generally required.
2.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to customers, coworkers and management.
3.Overnight domestic and international travel, including weekends required at least fifty (50) percent of the time.
4.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, coworkers and management.
5.Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedure manuals, blue prints (schematics), and job instructions.
6.Ability to write technical reports and documents.
7.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
8.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
9.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
10.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
11.Ability to use common mechanic tools such as electric and air tools as well as ability to operate a forklift.
12.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical capabilities.
13.Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products and ERP system.
14.Ability to use department equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, and telephone.
15.Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
2.The work environment is usually an outdoor setting with frequent exposure to outside elements. The noise level in the work environment is frequently high. This position requires constant travel, which will involve exposure to extreme weather elements.
