Job Description:
Central Kansas Cooperative in Education/USD 305 has an opening for an Educational Interpreter (Hearing Interpreter) to work in the Salina school district with a student who has a hearing impairment. This full-time position (35 hours/week) will assist in facilitating communication through signed interpretation for hearing impaired student, providing voice to sign and sign to voice support. Interpreter may also be expected to assist student with academic activities. Requirements: Proficient in ASL. Prefer Interpreter certification (EIPA, KQAS, ESSE or RID). Must enjoy working with special needs students!
Pay is determined by experience and/or Professional Interpreter Certification. Workdays will follow the Salina USD 305 school district calendar. Benefits include Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance and KPERS retirement.
