JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Ottawa County Clerk, this non-exempt Deputy County Clerk position is responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about services, and to handle and resolve any issues while delivering the highest level of customer service to Ottawa County, the community and other departments or agencies. In this Deputy County Clerk position, the work involves performing duties of accounting and clerical functions, checking accuracy of figures and information, financial information, and accounting functions. This position assists the County Clerk in the performance of Clerks duties as outlined in Kansas Statutes. Computer and bookkeeping experience is required in this position, with detail to accuracy. Must be able to multi-task. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Benefits included KPERS retirement, and employer paid insurance for a single or employee with child(ren).
