Controller

Progressive technology-driven manufacturer, importer, and master distributor of industrial hardware seeks a high-performing change leader for the role of Controller. This position reports to the Vice President-Operations and Finance.

Key functions encompass risk management, financial systems and controls (50% of time invested) and corporate talent management and human resources functions (50%), including pay and benefits administration. The individual will support corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions functions along with the Chief Executive Officer.

This leader will have two professional manager direct reports (Accounting and Human Resources), and a total funnel of approximately ten FTE. The position is supported with extensive IT/IS resources and a robust ERP software system. G.L. Huyett sits on an advisory council for software development for the distribution industry, and the Controller will support the development of industry best practices for process design and work flows.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for accounting systems encompassing all elements for a manufacturing and distribution firm.
Responsible for all tax and regulatory compliance, as well as corporate earning of economic development incentives.
Responsible for risk management and risk assessment, including insurance assessment.
Ultimately responsible along with Accounting funnel for cash management, credit management, and financial reporting.
Ultimately responsible in conjunction with Human Resources team for the execution of a comprehensive talent development program including recruitment, assessment, performance management, training, and succession planning.
In conjunction with a Company Benefits Manager, responsible for best-in-class employee benefits programs packaged under the umbrella HuyettCare.

Requirements:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 5 years of successful and effective professional experience in accounting and finance is required. MBA or equivalent degree desirable.
Knowledge of business law, public finance, insurance, banking, credit, and risk management desired. Demonstrated professional experience and abilities in the following areas are desired: budget and resource management; insurance and benefits administration; credit, cash flow analysis, and financial statements review. Audit experience helpful.
Willingness to learn and lead the companys talent management programs. Experience in human resources and talent management helpful.
Experience in employee benefits management helpful. Extensive knowledge of payroll management required.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel required, including use of V" look-ups, pivot tables, charts, and graphs. Experience in Microsoft PowerPivot Pro and Power BI desirable.

Compensation:
Salary range of $73,000 to $121,000. Full benefits package. Profit sharing paid on a Tri-Annual basis for performance. Additional details to be provided to qualified candidates.
