About Rocking M Media
In 2007 the Miller family established what has become known as Rocking M Media, LLC (RMM) as a business development company. RMM has 24 radio stations, digital and social media sites, a sign company and live events that it owns and operates.
The principals of RMM are Monte and Doris Miller and their sons Christopher Miller and Quinn Miller and Christopher’s son Cale Miller. The Miller family has been developing businesses in Kansas for more than 100 years. They have owned newspapers, television stations and now radio stations. Monte Miller’s grandfather was A.Q. Miller and he started the family media business with owning newspapers in Kansas and Colorado in the 1880’s. The Journalism School at Kansas State University is named The A.Q. Miller Family School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
The RMM group of 24 radio stations covers all of Central and Western Kansas and parts of Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. The population in the counties that are under the RMM radio stations is OVER 1 Million people according to the US Census Website.
Along with radio stations RMM operates, it also owns KANBids.com an auction site for the local advertisers on the RMM radio stations. This auction site provides advertisers an opportunity to turn their products and services into radio advertising schedules that they can use to grow their own business. RMM has also launched the community portal site TodayInKansas.com. Using the power of all 24 radio stations TodayInKansas.com is turning into the new aggregator of user generated content for news, sports and advertising for all our communities in Central and Western Kansas.
RMM also has incubator sites for entrepreneurs in its radio markets. RMM will offer office space, business training, radio advertising, website design, social media implementation and other services that the local entrepreneur may need in growing its business including our own crowd funding site Rural Growth. With this initiative of growing businesses in its radio markets, RMM plans to reverse the population drain that has taken place in our parts of the country. RMM believes in the opportunities living in a rural setting provide its listeners, its employees and our business partners.
